Mon 8/3...

Cobras 8 - Cards 5... Zach Telgheder went the distance picking up the win as the Cobras rallied from a 4-1 deficit and took Game 1.  Jim Schoenleber led the offensive attack with 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and 3 RBI's. Sean Stewart also had 2 hits and knocked in a run. Cards provided no stats at time of update.

Yankees 2 - Clippers 0...  The Yankees rode the solid pitching of Robert Lynch (5 IP) and Justin Gray (2 IP) in shutting out Extra Innings 2-0.  Ron Bracchi (2 hits) and Steve Orefice

knocked in the only 2 runs of the game. Clippers provided no stats at time of update.

Tues 8/4...

Yankees 3 - Clippers 2...   Mike Sciacchitano singled in the winning run with 2 out in the bottom of the 7th to lift the Yankees into the League Finals.  Brian Quain picked up the "W" in relief of Jake Slate who went 6 and 2/3 innings.  The Clippers had tied the game with 2 down

in the top of the 7th on a 2 run single by Al Hammell.  Dan Slate had 3 hits and

Mike Lucido hit a solo HR for the Yankees. Clippers provided no stats at time of update.

Cards 9 - Cobras 8...  Sean Pedersen went 6 innings in picking up the Win as the Cards jumped out to the lead and held off a late Cobra rally. Mike Levy, Tom Weiner, Trevor Purcell and Fred Moore all had 2 hits for the Cards. Rich Whitney and Nick Marino had 4 hits, 2 HR's and 5 RBI's between them for the Cobras.

Wed 8/5...

Cards 5 - Cobras 4...   The Cards survived another late Cobra rally in taking the deciding game. John Degroat went 6 1/3 innings in picking up the W. Patrick Robinson knocked in 2 runs while also picking up his 2nd series save. Cobras provided no stats at time of update.

Yankees 5 - Cards 4...   Dan Slate provided the offensive spark for the Yankees with 3 hits, 3 stolen bases and an RBI. Mike Orefice chipped in with a solo HR. Jeff Freyhagen went 6 1/3 in getting the W. Joseph Greagor recorded the last 2 outs and picked up a Save. Cards provided no stats at time of update.

Sat 8/8...

Yankees 8 - Cards 7...   In another close fought battle, The Yankees outlasted the Cards by a run. Dan Granger threw the last 4 2/3 in relief of Justin Gray to pick up the W.

Kyle Kalaka led the Yankee attack with 3 hits and an RBI. Steve Orefice and Al Melcher (2 doubles) eack knocked in a pair of runs. Cards provided no stats at time of update.

Fri 8/14...

Yankees 3 - Cards 1...  The Yankees closed out the 2009 Championship Series with a 3-1 victory over over the Cards behind the strong pitching of southpaw, Jake Slate.  Slate limited the Cards to 1 run on 3 hits while fanning 7 in going the distance. He also helped his own cause at the plate by collecting 2 hits and scoring a run. Brother, Dan Slate, led the

Yankee offense with 2 hits and 1 RBI. Mike Sciacchitano and Kyle Kalaka each
